Jeroen Heester M.urb. BSc. (1972), based in Amsterdam. <\/span><\/span><\/h5><h5><span style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: Athiti;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">After being schooled in mechanical engineering, <\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">I received my bachelor degree in landscape architecture followed by my<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0master degree <\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">at the Amsterdam University for the Arts \/ Academy of Architecture (AvB.)<\/span><\/span><\/h5><h5 dir=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/h5><h5 dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Athiti; font-size: 14px;\">My interest lies in how we shape our world. This lead me to <em>deception<\/em> as a structural constant in human culture. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Intrigued by this culture of <em>plausible lies<\/em> I create to further examine this phenomenon.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5><h5 dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Athiti; font-size: 14px;\">Retrospectively, my repertoire has evolved through four phases so far: observing, analysing, explaining, and projecting. Each phase is an evolved transformation of the previous one, assisting me to further unravel my explanation of our world.<\/span><\/h5><h5 dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-family: Athiti; font-size: 14px;\">My latest land art works examine nature in relation to this cultural behaviour. Simultaneously these land art works test the potential of nature to adopt human traits such as a <em>duality mindset<\/em>.
